To keep your gorgeous new website performing at its best!
Owning a website is like owning a garden... 

It needs to be well maintained!

When we launch your sparkly new website, it's like planting a beautiful garden. You've set it up with all the plants (read: website design, functionality, images, words) and given it a good watering. But what happens if you forget to maintain your brand new garden? The plants start to wilt, and the weeds take over everything, right?

It's the same with a website. It will still be there, looking fab, but if it's not regularly checked, updated and maintained, weeds can slowly start to creep in and cause havoc!
Plugins need to be updated to keep keep it running secure and fast, indexing needs to be checked to make sure Google is showing your pages to your audience, forms need to be tested to make sure you're getting notifications. When it comes to SEO, metadata and copy needs to be continually checked and tweaked to improve rankings!

To avoid losing face (and rankings) with Google and slower speeds, your website needs to be regularly serviced. My Website and SEO Care Plans will keep your site secure, performing at its sparkling best.
Whether you're a website or SEO client, I've got you covered. I've kept the plans separate so if you're a website client that booked an SEO Strategy as part of your project with me, you can select whether you sign up for one or the other, or both. If you sign up for both, it will be just one payment that comes out.
In the case of any issues. breakage or the dreaded hacking of your website, one hour of troubleshooting and repair are included in your website care plans per month alongside the restoration of your site from the last back up. You can also request a restore of a previous backup once per month at no additional charge.

Website Care Plans

I have three levels of care plans, depending on the size and functionality of your website. All of these care plans cover the following inclusions, and eCommerce sites also include product testing. 

Mini

For one-page and small websites (less than 5 pages)
$30 per month
Updates completed MONTHLY

Standard

For multi-page informational websites (more than 5 pages)
$75 per month
Updates completed MONTHLY

Complex

For eCommerce sites and any with added functionality
$120 per month
Updates completed MONTHLY

Are content updates included?

Website Care Plans are for technical support only and not content updates. Additional content support is available for all my clients on website care plans at a rate of $150 per hour (+GST), charged in 15-min increments. I record epic training videos for all my website clients, but if you're struggling to find the time – or motivation – to do it yourself, I have many clients who simply outsource all their updates to me.

Website Care Plan Inclusions

What's included:

Daily Backups: 
Stored in an off-site location, so I can get you up and running quickly if something does go wrong.

Reinstallation of backups: 
Includes reinstall of up to one backup a month at your request (note: it can take hours, or even days, of work to fix your website if something goes wrong and you don't have a backup system in place to rectify it).

Wordpress, plugin & theme updates and periodic audits: 
Keeping this updated and current helps to keep your website speedy, secure from hackers and working smoothly. Out of date plugins can become troublesome if they're not updated and miss out on bug fixes.

Speed optimisation and performance check:
To help your pages load faster and check how your site is faring in page speed tests.

Form Testing:
We test all forms and interactive website elements
+
Security Monitoring:
Malware scanning and fix of any minor issues.

Uptime monitoring:
If your website goes down, we know about it (and can fix it) ASAP.

Google Search Console:
To check for any errors or fixes needed, flagged by Google (note: if any fix ups are needed, I'll let you know before actioning as this may incur an hourly rate, depending on the fix!).

Google Analytics (if installed): 
Check Google Analytics is still connected, and fix any minor issues.

Summary Report:
A report outlining tasks completed, how your website is tracking and suggested improvements
+
eCommerce testing:
For eCommerce clients only, includes testing of products and payment systems
+
Premium plugins:
Commonly including Fluent Forms Pro, Advanced Custom Fields Pro, and WP Rocket.

Annual Review:
To check the general WordPress set up, and cast my expert eye over your content to see if I think you'd benefit from better user experience.
SEO Upgrade opportunities:

Keyword Research and SEO Strategy:  If you didn't invest when we first worked on your project, the best investment you can make to ensure your website's success is to find out what your customers are looking for and optimise your website's pages for these searches, which will improve your opportunity to rank on Google. Once the SEO is applied on your site, I have ongoing SEO care plans to check, tweak and make sure it's adjusted to make the most of your data.
What's not included:

Domain name registration, website hosting and email hosting fees BUT I can set this up for you.

Content Updates: But you can lock these in at any time on an hourly rate of $150 (+GST).

Got Questions?

Can I maintain my website myself?

Of course you can – and I can send guidance on how to do it safely and securely! Heads up though, in my experience, website maintenance is one of those things that always gets put on the back burner, leaving your site vulnerable to hacking and slower and clunkier for your customers. If you do go ahead and maintain your website yourself and something does go wrong, I'm always available to help with fix ups at an hourly rate.

Will a Care Plan stop my website getting hacked?

Short answer – it will help! Having a professional maintain your site keeps the security of your site in tip-top condition. Unfortunately, I can’t guarantee your website will never be hacked, no. As there are some savvy (and mean) people out there looking to disrupt what they can, but a care plan can drastically minimise your risk by keeping it up to date, tested, backed up and secure. I also have the systems in place to minimise your downtime if you do get hacked.

What happens if my website gets hacked?

When I run a security scan of your website, I check for Malware. If it picks up anything, I'll attempt to remove corrupt files. In almost all cases, this works. Next step is to change all passwords and perform a security review of your site. If this doesn’t work (or a hacker locks you out of your site) my backup system mean I can try and install an earlier backup from before malware was installed.

Very (very!) rarely, if it starts to become above my own pay grade, I'll advise that you need to engage a professional to clean your site (but I’ve never had this happen on my watch yet!).

Ongoing SEO Care Plans

I have two care plans available for monitoring your SEO and providing ongoing help, depending on your budget and what you're looking to achieve. SEO is a long term investment, so all of my care plans are based on quarterly work, to give any updates a chance to settle before seeing what's working.

These plans involve me either implementing the SEO work on your site for you (changing metadata and adjusting your content) or providing you with an action plan to make these changes yourself. I'll always prioritise the best opportunities based on your keyword data. Obviously the more time we spend on checking and tweaking your SEO, the more likely you'll have results. 

NOTE: These care SEO care plans are only suitable for clients that have completed an SEO Strategy with me. Otherwise we'll be working off guesswork and you won't get the bang for your buck.
